I'm Writing a Story

I'm writing a story. This would be my first attempt in writing a story so I know it would be rough. I posted it on my Wordpress blog, but here's how it goes.

    Anya frustratedly stared at her monitor for almost an hour now as she waited for the uninspired moment to pass. “Damn writer’s block,” she exclaimed. But no matter what she do, she just can’t find it in her to write the first word to the story she was supposed to be working on.

    She planned on working on a love story. But there’s just one problem. She can’t start writing. Anya can’t seem to find the right words and the right characters to start with. She was so sure it would be so easy to write a love story after emerging from a romance movie marathon, which consisted of 36 hours of romance flicks in preparation for this writing task. And she was also banking on her other sources of knowledge on this topic. She had read hundreds, no, thousands of romance novels since she started reading her first “pocketbook” way back in her first year in high school. And it’s not as if reading romance novels were her only background at love. Anya was in her third year in high school when she got a boyfriend, and now she considers herself an expert in love after being having going through more than 10 of such kind of relationship which she had disappointingly ended one after another.

    “Writing a romance story should be easy for me”, Anya smugly thought when she had first decided on what genre to write on, and she had that thought two days ago. But she still can’t think of something that she can use to start with her story.

    “What should I do? Urgh. This is so frustrating!” For about 5 seconds Anya thought of giving up on writing the story. “Why is it so hard to write a love story! Should I focus on Emery first, or Alex?”

    “Hey, stupid shrimp! Are you madly talking to yourself now?”

    Anya’s heart jumped. Ed’s roughly shaven face interrupted her concentration as he just entered inside her “personal space” without warning...

I Sent Myself a Fan Mail

I have just sent a fan mail to myself on Tumblr. It feels so good! :)

Sending a fan mail to yourself will make you feel awesome. Trust me. It' sounds crazy, but it will encourage you to love yourself more.

Just remember Eleanore's (Roosevelt) words, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent".

RULES OF GLENS

I've been fascinated of these "rules of" sites that I decided to create one for myself. I think it's fun to create some kind of a "code of conduct" for yourself, some constant reminder of what you should and should be mindful of. I've recently created my own "rules of" site on Wordpress. Here's one of the posts I've made, and this one's on Facebook post. I would have written "Don't wear your heart on your sleeve. And don't post it on Facebook either", but I'm not really sure what's the best way to phrase it, so it ended up like this. 

I'm not saying that I follow these rules strictly and without fail. I just thought these rules would constantly bug me that I decided to put them into writing.

As Edward Cullen in Midnight Sun would say, "Keep it honest, keep it light". I want it to be honest and entertaining. You can check out the site at RULES OF GLENS.

Benefits of Ionized Water

Drinking ionized water is not a new fitness fad. This healthy idea has been around ever since the first water ionizer was developed in Japan in the early 1950s. From then on, Japanese agricultural universities have conducted researches on ionized water benefits. iPhone 5 Release Date Might Not Be This June, But on October

Previous speculation tells us that Apple will preview iOS 6 and it was also believed that during that time they would release the next iPhone called iPhone 5 during the WWDC. However, this is may not be so, as recent events lead speculators to conclude that the release date for the iPhone 5 may not be during this June at the WWDC, but on October.

Qualcomm has stated that it is struggling to keep up with the iPad’s demand in producing the 28-nanometer chips, which leads us to expect that Apple will be unable to have an earlier debut for its latest iPhone 5. If Qualcomm fails to keep up with the demands for iPads now, then it would be disadvantageous to launch the new iPhone so soon.

After Quallcomm CFO William Kietel has clarified that their production goals are pretty high in the December quarter and that the production would be “more meaningful” in September, most people are deducing that the iPhone release date may be on October.

Aside from that, LTE isn’t generally accepted in areas beyond US and Canada, which means the service is unavailable in the UK, except probably for the bigger cities like London and Manchester. In fact, Apple has offered refunds to Australian buyers since the new iPad does not support 4G LTE network in their state, what with the Telstra Corp, Australia’s only 4G operator, using a different 4G frequency. Apple will have to wait to make sure that iPhone 5 can support LTE networks worldwide.

Moreover, the fact that Apple has not announced its iOS 6 yet indicates that it is not ready to launch iPhone 5. Usually it would release OS upgrade during or before launching a new gadget. Now people are wondering if iOS 6 will be having its debut at the WWDC.
