Read Sarashi Asobi

I am a self-confessed manga addict. I love reading manga. I'm probably not an otaku (yet, mainly because I don't have a lot of cash I can spend to drown myself with all the manga stuffs money can buy), but I know I have read more than a hundred different titles, some completed while others are still ongoing, some  are one-shot or while other would reach beyond 400 chapters. There are some who would just satisfy my interest, while there are those who would make me feel like reading them over and over and over again, such as Sarashi Asobi.

Sarashi Asobi is a beautiful story by Tobina Touya, where there was a Grim Reaper who was curious  on a lot of things about humans, especially on their desperate attempts to cling at life. He finds himself strangely attached to a weird school president everyone calls the Empress, who's hiding her serious dedication in protecting her "people" (students) and her nation (school) with a cold and harsh front. 

One of the things I like about the manga is that Ai looks like a cross between L and N of Death Note. Even the playful personality is there.

Annoyed. I don't hate you, I'm just so annoyed.

I feel annoyed right now. I know it's weird to post it on a blog with the name "walking on sunshine", but I don't feel like posting it on Facebook either because I know it's not a good option. Still, I feel like I need to write about this or something in me would explode.

I really hate it when some people come and invade my personal space. But I probably am too much of a coward to confront them head on. Or am I just too patient to deal with it? I'm letting fate take its course. 

I wanted to tell you, the one who I must not name but you know already that I am referring to you. 

Don't DARE throw out anything I OWN! Try respecting MY properties, MY stuff and anything that's MINE, just like I have respected yours. And don't go ahead trying to blame me for anything I haven't done just because you think I did it. Gather enough evidence first before judging me, because I also hate it when you BLAME ME FOR SOMETHING I CLEARLY HAVEN'T DONE JUST BECAUSE YOU THINK I DID IT. I AM NOT LIKE YOU. I don't do the things you do. And I don't do things the way you do. You never say sorry when you realize it's not my fault. Do you think I'm not hurt by the words you speak? And you think I'm more worthless than you? I may have kept my peace but that doesn't mean I admit that it's my fault. I am keeping my mouth shut because I think it's not worth it. After all, you will never even hear me no matter how hard I try to speak out. Useless.

Look at the mirror first before picking out on me. As the long adage say, "LET THOSE WHO ARE BLAMELESS CAST THE FIRST STONE". You are not that perfect so don't act as if you are. You speak about other people as if they are despicable but don't you think that the you who speak about some people as if their mere existence is annoying is even more despicable? Who are you by the way? You think you are some big shot now? Think again.

Just because I don't doesn't mean I can't. I don't plan to get back at you or anything, but that doesn't mean I can't. I just don't want to waste my efforts on fruitless matters such as revenge. But watch what you say or do, because what goes around comes back around.

I'm Writing a Story

I'm writing a story. This would be my first attempt in writing a story so I know it would be rough. I posted it on my Wordpress blog, but here's how it goes.

    Anya frustratedly stared at her monitor for almost an hour now as she waited for the uninspired moment to pass. “Damn writer’s block,” she exclaimed. But no matter what she do, she just can’t find it in her to write the first word to the story she was supposed to be working on.

    She planned on working on a love story. But there’s just one problem. She can’t start writing. Anya can’t seem to find the right words and the right characters to start with. She was so sure it would be so easy to write a love story after emerging from a romance movie marathon, which consisted of 36 hours of romance flicks in preparation for this writing task. And she was also banking on her other sources of knowledge on this topic. She had read hundreds, no, thousands of romance novels since she started reading her first “pocketbook” way back in her first year in high school. And it’s not as if reading romance novels were her only background at love. Anya was in her third year in high school when she got a boyfriend, and now she considers herself an expert in love after being having going through more than 10 of such kind of relationship which she had disappointingly ended one after another.

    “Writing a romance story should be easy for me”, Anya smugly thought when she had first decided on what genre to write on, and she had that thought two days ago. But she still can’t think of something that she can use to start with her story.

    “What should I do? Urgh. This is so frustrating!” For about 5 seconds Anya thought of giving up on writing the story. “Why is it so hard to write a love story! Should I focus on Emery first, or Alex?”

    “Hey, stupid shrimp! Are you madly talking to yourself now?”

    Anya’s heart jumped. Ed’s roughly shaven face interrupted her concentration as he just entered inside her “personal space” without warning...

I Sent Myself a Fan Mail

RULES OF GLENS

I've been fascinated of these "rules of" sites that I decided to create one for myself. I think it's fun to create some kind of a "code of conduct" for yourself, some constant reminder of what you should and should be mindful of. I've recently created my own "rules of" site on Wordpress. Here's one of the posts I've made, and this one's on Facebook post. I would have written "Don't wear your heart on your sleeve. And don't post it on Facebook either", but I'm not really sure what's the best way to phrase it, so it ended up like this. 

I'm not saying that I follow these rules strictly and without fail. I just thought these rules would constantly bug me that I decided to put them into writing.

Benefits of Ionized Water

Drinking ionized water is not a new fitness fad. This healthy idea has been around ever since the first water ionizer was developed in Japan in the early 1950s. From then on, Japanese agricultural universities have conducted researches on ionized water benefits. iPhone 5 Release Date Might Not Be This June, But on October

Previous speculation tells us that Apple will preview iOS 6 and it was also believed that during that time they would release the next iPhone called iPhone 5 during the WWDC. However, this is may not be so, as recent events lead speculators to conclude that the release date for the iPhone 5 may not be during this June at the WWDC, but on October.

Qualcomm has stated that it is struggling to keep up with the iPad’s demand in producing the 28-nanometer chips, which leads us to expect that Apple will be unable to have an earlier debut for its latest iPhone 5. If Qualcomm fails to keep up with the demands for iPads now, then it would be disadvantageous to launch the new iPhone so soon.

After Quallcomm CFO William Kietel has clarified that their production goals are pretty high in the December quarter and that the production would be “more meaningful” in September, most people are deducing that the iPhone release date may be on October.

Aside from that, LTE isn’t generally accepted in areas beyond US and Canada, which means the service is unavailable in the UK, except probably for the bigger cities like London and Manchester. In fact, Apple has offered refunds to Australian buyers since the new iPad does not support 4G LTE network in their state, what with the Telstra Corp, Australia’s only 4G operator, using a different 4G frequency. Apple will have to wait to make sure that iPhone 5 can support LTE networks worldwide.

Moreover, the fact that Apple has not announced its iOS 6 yet indicates that it is not ready to launch iPhone 5. Usually it would release OS upgrade during or before launching a new gadget. Now people are wondering if iOS 6 will be having its debut at the WWDC.

Wearing Glasses Is Not The Best Solution To Blurry Eyesight

Wearing glasses and contact lenses had apparently grown to be a fashion fad nowadays. A decade ago wearing glasses may be considered to geeky and out of style. But things have changed ever since fashion magazines declared that “geeks are the new sexy”. This may be the reason why more and more individuals would now dare to wear specs even if it is clearly causing a lot of stress on their eyes.

If you are tempted to go to the nearest eye clinic to get your own pair of fashionable artificial lenses, you should know that while these may improve your vision for as long as you are still wearing them, those glasses could not cure your eye problems permanently. In fact, they could keep your eyes from healing themselves.

The longer you wear those lenses, the more you are letting your eyes become too dependent on them. Those pair of glasses you wear might be preventing your eyes from relaxing and working properly on their own.

Why should you depend on some artificial lenses when all you have to do is keep your eyes relaxed and avoid strain? Free your eyes from anything that could cause stress and strain. While this may not be as easy as it sounds, at least it doesn’t aggravate the problem with your eyesight.

If you think that you really need to wear a pair of glasses or contact lenses, you would find that one of the major challenges you would be facing is finding the perfect prescription for your eyes. That is because just like almost every organ of the body, your eyes are subject to change. Your eye prescription won’t always stay the same, and it is subject to the many different factors and aspects that could cause it to change, such as the weather, your health, or any outside stressors that could affect it your eyesight. Your eye prescription on a rainy day and you are in a bad mood would be different from your prescription when you had on a sunny day and in a better mood.

If you are already wearing your own pair of specs and you wanted to try relieving your eyes from the strain it may be causing you, try going without them for a few days, or for a few weeks. You would probably say that everything looks blurry at first. After starting to get used to it, you’ll see that you can see a bit more clearly. Here’s a tip: keep yourself from any high or extreme mental strain, and try to be more relaxed. Keep your eyes from too much stress, and give it a rest when your eyesight starts to become blurry and out of focus.

Not everyone is advised to wear prescription glasses or artificial lenses. Wearing them may not be best for our eyes. Instead of curing your eyesight problem, it can teach our eyes to be too lazy from working properly on their own. The best solution to blurry eyesight is not wearing prescription glasses, but keeping off from too much mental strain.

A Late Post on Storm Washi, Trauma and Nonsense Rumors

News travels fast these days. But I have to say, rumors definitely travel faster. 

There was this text message going around about a tidal wave in Ozamis, and as much as I am traumatized by the Sendong (Washi) experience, it really doesn't help ease our problems whenever we her about nature troubles.

It's not that I don't want to discredit the spread of news through text message, but most of the useless and uneccessary gossips goes around our phones nowadays and it annoys the hell out of most people. I hope people would think more about the effects of the words they put into text writing.

I am currently having a hard time trying to sleep after hearing such a troubling "news". *sigh

I hope the people are all alright tonight, and tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow, and until their time is up.

It's been too long...

As usual, I haven't posted for almost 3 months. Oh well, that's life. I haven't even gotten around to update my WP blog, I'll do that later. I have lots of things to do, a room to clean and lots of distractions (did I mention the internet is one of those distractions I'm talking about? hehe). I've been helping my sorority sister the-clever-nymph-amian in creating her first ever blog her on blogger.com. Check it out, it's still new, as in fresh from the press and was created last night. so that makes it less than 24 hours fresh. It's kind of a contrast to my page, with all it's happy feelings and cheerful mood in the whole layout. Mine is sort of an elegant purple look, and a bit restricted, although it is really classy. By the way, "Naima Means Blessing" is still under construction, although everyone is welcome to her page already. It's sort of a project for her English elective, so she's not bothering much about it, but it's really cute. Go see for yourself. 

Anyway, I also bought a new phone, this is the second time I bought myself a phone and it's really cool. I bought it from Abs, my fraternity brother and he's really sweet to let me buy it from him when there are lots of people who are vying for it. You see, it's not something that can be bought here in our country. It's a Verizon smartphone and I really love that I can read ebooks on it. hehe. Now I can read whenever I go, even if I don't bring my book bag with me. I've already saved all my law school stuffs on it, so that should make me a geek before the school year starts. That is, if I can fight all these distractions, and that's proving to be a very arduous task. Not just difficult--arduous. What's the difference between these two? I don't care. I just love using the latter. Makes me feel like I'm smarter than I actually am. For a second. And now it makes me feel stupid for using a word that I'm not even sure is appropriate in the context. Oh well, whatever.

What's New?

Busy, busy, busy. I barely had time to post something here (I hardly even got enough time to post something on my Wordpress blog), but I don't want to abandon my blog so here I am, writing about interesting things for this blog.

I had to create some t-shirt designs to be proposed to my fraternity brothers and sorority sisters, and you can see them posted on my WP site. Check them out, and tell me what you think about it. :)
While being busy on the net, I find a lot of interesting sites, and one of them is The Oatmeal. This site is hilarious and I can't help but read another comic from the site. Its a real treat for those who are feeling down and wants to have a good laugh. It's like CUEK, except that it doesn't focus on emo kids and emo troubles, but everything under the sun. It made lots of good comical illustrations about lots of things including website designers, freelancers, coffee, elephants, and dinosaurs. Well, you better check it out yourself, and enjoy!

Start of Something New

This title seems to be a little too cliche (not to mention, it is also a title of an HSM song). But I guess it fits to what been happening lately. :D

Speaking of the start of something new, it's not actually just something that has been started. Many things have started and they are all very promising. But I prefer everything to continually be shrouded in mystery right now. *wink!
